In this low-pressure masterclass, jazz vocalist and singing teacher Andrea Wolper will work with you to help your performance soar. Andrea will share best practices learned from 30 years as a performing jazz artist, so feel free to bring questions about specific issues you’re having, or about jazz singing in general. As many people as time allows will sing a song: bring one you’re feeling good about and want to take to the next level, or one you haven’t quite mastered or are having trouble with. With Andrea’s supportive, insightful guidance, you’ll problem solve and try things out toward achieving a more relaxed, expressive, satisfying vocal performance.

This is an online class. You’re welcome to accompany yourself, have an accompanist with you, or sing to a track. Backing tracks for most jazz standards and more can be found on the iReal Pro app, and can be adjusted to play in any key and tempo, as well as in a variety of grooves.
